At the core of all of our structures are the fabrics and steel we utilize for optimal hail and solar UV protection. HDPE, a high-density polyethylene mesh, can block out up to 96% of the sun’s harmful UV rays, while tensile canopy fabrics such as PVC and PTFE can also be utilized depending on your specific project requirements. VPS has a state-of-the-art steel fabrication facility in Dallas, TX, that is certified by the International Accreditation Services board (IAS) as meeting or exceeding the highest standards in the steel fabrication industry.

VPS HailShield Ultra Fabric
HailShield Ultra HDPE mesh fabric is a three-bar knitted, lockstitch pattern, incorporating monofilament and tape yarns for dimensional stability, tear, and fray resistance. This pattern gives excellent weft and warp stability due to the throw of the weft yarns across the knitting needles during fabrication. HailShield Ultra is heat-set using a stentering process, providing additional dimensional stability and strength as a result of shrinking and equalizing the yearn lengths and knots. It is this stentering that assists in eliminating sagging and looseness in the fabric following installation. For large scale projects, this fabric is available in 10 additional colors. Please contact your VPS representative for more information on colors, availability, and minimum order quantities.
